Organized by the East Boston Artists Group

November 16 & 17, 2024

The East Boston Artists Group is excited to present “Harboring Creativity”, an exhibit and sale of art at the ICA Watershed. Featuring the work of more than 40 local artists who live, work, or create in East Boston, this presentation is a wonderful reflection of the creativity and innovation of our neighborhood. The East Boston Artists Group is grateful to all our sponsors -  including our partnership with the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston -  for their support of this important event, and want to thank all of you who have come out to experience and support the work of our local art community.

Special Thanks to Mindy Fried of Hoopla Productions, and ZUMIX for sharing “Open Your Heart”

Open Your Heart is a deeply moving short documentary about a group of young people who embark on a creative, year-long research and performance project about immigrant stories. The film traces their journey, from interviewing seven immigrant activists to performing these stories, along with professional actors, in a live staged production at Boston City Hall Plaza in 2023.

Touching, powerful and inspiring, Open Your Heart demonstrates the power of community, support and love, as we immerse ourselves in the complexity of immigrant stories.

And also to Alberto Roblest for sharing his videos:

“Multiple Exposure”

Video of many views and possibilities. The eye that deceives.

 “Ode to Jack Kerouac”

Short Road movie E-poem in homage to Jack Kerouac and his legacy.
