My work explores the inner experiences of the soul and the ways they transform us as we move through life. Drawing from personal experience, memory, emotion, and the worlds that exist within my mind, I use painting as a way of giving physical form to things that are often difficult to name, understand, or carry. Grief, sadness, love, identity, obsession, loss, healing, and transformation become characters, bodies, symbols, and imagined spaces within my work.

The figures and forms in my paintings often begin as images within my mind. By bringing them into the physical world, I am able to confront emotions and experiences that can otherwise feel intangible. They become a language through which I can understand what I am living, giving shape to what exists inside of me and creating a bridge between my inner world and reality. In this way, painting becomes a way of connecting my soul to the world around me.

My current body of work, Dimensions of Love, turns specifically toward love and the journey it takes us through. Rather than defining love by a single form, I am interested in its essence and in the many ways we experience, recognize, and reinvent it. Love can be tender and pure, chaotic and consuming, frightening and uncertain. It can make us lose ourselves and, at other times, lead us back to who we are. It can challenge the ways we were taught to love and open the possibility of discovering new ways of loving, being loved, and understanding ourselves.

The collection follows this emotional journey — from intimacy, desire, attachment, obsession, and fear to vulnerability, loss, freedom, self-discovery, and transformation. I am interested in the contradictions that exist within love: how something so beautiful can also frighten us, how something that brings us closer to another person can force us to confront ourselves, and how love can exist beyond the forms we expect it to take. For me, love does not have one shape; its essence lives in everything it makes us feel and in every place it takes us within ourselves.

For me, Dimensions of Love is one chapter within a much larger emotional universe — one rooted in the experience of being alive and the traces that experience leaves on the soul.
